Florida Practice Tests at Driver’s Prep
We take driver license and permit practice test questions from a pool of more than 1,000 questions. They cover all aspects of the Florida Driver Handbook.
The large number of practice questions helps you pass the exam – guaranteed!
Each DMV practice test in this series has 25 random questions.
After each question, you’ll get instant feedback. If your answer isn’t correct, there is a short comment to help you look up the answer in the Florida Official Handbook.
Note that the real Florida test has 50 questions.
Why Have We Shortened the Practice Tests?
Our studies show that our users are much more likely to take many practice tests when tests are shorter (25 instead of 50 questions). Logitech k750 keyboard not working. After practicing, users have been exposed to more questions and do better on the real exam.
How Should You Study for the Permit Test?
The first step is to get the latest version of the Florida official Driver Handbook. It is available at your local tax collector or online. When you’ve studied the handbook, you can use the practice tests at Driver’s Prep to check your progress and if you are ready for the real knowledge test or not.
The passing score in Florida is 80 percent, which means you must correctly answer at least 40 out of 50 questions, or 20 of 25 question on a practice test.
It is a good idea to aim higher when you practice. We recommend that you take enough sample tests to make sure you can reach a score of 100 percent with ease.
But don’t take test after test just to get a higher score. You need to truly understand answers and explanations. Read up on mistakes and try to understand why you missed a question. Did you misunderstand the question or answer? Did you read too fast? Or did you simply not know the answer?

Who Must Take the Florida Knowledge Test?
Anyone who applies for an original learner’s permit or driver license must successfully pass the written knowledge test.
When you move to Florida and already hold a valid driver’s license from another state, U.S. possession, Canada, France, or Republic of Korea (South Korea), the written knowledge test is usually waived, unless your driving ability is questionable.
After a revocation of your license, you must submit to an investigation before you can obtain another license. It may be necessary to take all tests again.
What’s on the Florida Written Test?
The test verifies that you can understand traffic signals, common road signs, and pavement markings. You must also have a good knowledge of Florida vehicle laws and driving rules, as well as safe driving techniques.

How Many Questions Are on the official DMV Test?
The official test is a multi-choice test with 50 questions, covering rules of the road and common traffic signs and signals. To pass, you must correctly answer 40 of the 50 questions (a passing score of 80%).
Previously, the Florida DMV written test had two parts – a 20-question test on road signs and 20-questions test on road rules.
Since 2015, the official Florida test has 50 questions, covering all items in the driver handbook.
New and more tough questions caused the pass rate if Florida to drop significantly. Even if the test has been updated several times since early 2015, the pass rate in Florida is still low. So, take many practice tests and prepare well for your exam. You probably need it.
